The Leather Reconditioning Process
Our process does not consist of painting or dying which will both fade and stain with usage.
Cheap alternatives merely make your wheel look "new" for only a period of days before
the dye begins to fade and discolor due to your hands' oils and sweat. Not to mention the
fact that many of these "do it yourself" options offer minimal opportunities to fix damaged
(or missing) areas of the urethane foam. Often these cheap alternatives even make your
wheel *worse* as the paint or dye actually break-down the urethane's polymers over time.
Clearly this is not an option for many of us that take so much pride into restoring and
maintaining our classic and muscle cars.

MCB's process uses nothing but the highest quality workmanship and materials. We take
your worn-wheel and perform a multiple-step refinishing process. First, we repair and
replace any worn or missing urethane, and permanently reattach it to the armature's rim.
The replacement urethane is filled to all of the factory thicknesses at the rim and spokes,
and permanently bonded to both the armature rim and the adjoining urethane wrap.
Then, should you choose the option, the spokes on the wheel are cleaned of rust and
replated to a high chrome-like luster, and the urethane rim prepared for the
leather-wrapping process. Next, depending on which stitch-type you choose, high-quality
OEM leather is skived, glued, professionally sewn, and heat shrunk to your wheel. Final
touches are then made to the various seams and joints to produce the ultimate in
leather-wrapped construction and appearance. The leather will not break-free, the
seams will not separate, and your wheel will continue to look outstanding for many
years to come.
